Menu Egypt website showcased on desktop and mobile

Project overview

Menu Egypt is a discovery destination for people deciding where and what to eat across Egypt. Its homepage presents featured restaurant menus and a broader directory, then offers name search and an advanced search area. Popular categories such as grilled food, pizza, seafood, and desserts provide another way into the content. A visitor can move from a restaurant or category into more specific menu information instead of navigating one restaurant's ordering funnel. The breadth of brands makes information architecture central to this project: people arrive with a restaurant name, a cuisine in mind, or simply a desire to browse. This case study focuses on the public directory experience and does not claim ownership of rankings, audience figures, or delivery operations.

The business challenge

A directory spans many restaurants, cuisines, and menu formats. If everything appears in one long feed, visitors struggle to compare options or reach the menu they intended to find. The general design challenge is to provide several useful entry points without making search and navigation feel fragmented. Menu Egypt addresses this through prominent search, featured menus, and category routes.

The digital solution

The visible site organizes restaurant discovery around featured menus, a searchable restaurant name field, an advanced search area, and popular food categories. These routes let users start with a known restaurant or explore by the kind of meal they want. Individual restaurant destinations carry the journey from a general list toward menu information. The experience is different from an individual restaurant storefront: the navigation must remain consistent while the underlying brands and food choices change. That structure gives the directory a practical browsing rhythm on desktop and mobile-sized screens.
